**Coming soon: Septic Inspections
Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer only behind smoking. Addressing radon is important both in the construction of new buildings (prevention) and in existing buildings (mitigation or remediation).
Correct identification of these insects and others is important not only for an accurate inspection, but also for reducing the liability resulting from the misdiagnosis of a problem.
Several sources of air pollution are in homes, schools, and offices. Some pollutants cause health problems such as sore eyes, burning in the nose and throat, headaches, or fatigue. Other pollutants cause or worsen allergies, respiratory illnesses (such as asthma), heart disease, cancer and other serious long-term conditions. Sometimes individual pollutants at high concentrations, such as carbon monoxide, cause death.
Your inspector will find and report mold growth that may exist by performing a visual examination and mold sampling of areas of the building or home. Additional mold samplings available upon request.
Approximately 15% of Americans rely on their own private drinking water supplies, and these supplies are not subject to EPA standards, although some state and local governments do set rules to protect users of these wells. Unlike public drinking water systems serving many people, the EPA does not have experts regularly checking the water’s source and its quality before it is sent to the tap. Such households must take special precautions to ensure the protection and maintenance of their drinking water supplies.
Porch makes moving, insurance,
and improving your home, simple.
Standard inspections do not include mold, radon, WDO's, pools, spas, swing sets, detached structures, wells & septics.
Even the best home inspectors are capable of making mistakes. We carry Errors & Omissions Insurance so you can rest easy knowing you are covered.
